Plan Vivo

Plan Vivo is a system for the planning and implementation of community-based land use and sustainable energy projects. Plan Vivo projects can be used to deliver defined environmental services, such as carbon credits or watershed protection, livelihood benefits, increased agricultural productivity, and sustainably produced products.

BR&D maintains the Plan Vivo standards and guidelines and controls the registration of projects and the certification of project outputs.

Plan Vivo currently has three fully operational projects which are producing carbon for the sale as offsets. More information about the projects, based in Mexico, Uganda and Mozambique can be found by following the link to the Plan Vivo website below.
